It is good news, and it is for you.
God loves you
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 NIV
He made you on purpose, and He wants to be known by you.
We have all sinned
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23 NIV
Sin is anything that separates us from God. No one is exempt, and no one can fix it on their own.
Sin has a cost
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 NIV
Sin separates us from God. But read the second half of that verse: eternal life is a gift.
Jesus paid for it
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NIV
Jesus lived the sinless life we could not, died in our place, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
It is received by faith
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
You can't earn it and you don't have to clean yourself up first. You receive it through faith in Jesus.
How to be saved
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9 NIV
For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13 NIV
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 NIV
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe You came, died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving me, loving me, and making me new. Amen.
These words do not save you. What saves is trusting Jesus. If you prayed this and meant it, tell someone, start reading the Gospel, and find a Bible-believing church near you.
